Sono-Tek Corporation will be exhibiting our ultrasonic spraying technology at Glasstec October 23-26 in Dusseldorf, Germany in Hall 12, Booth B23. Sono-Tek has been supplying glass coating systems for continuous float glass manufacturing processes for over 25 years. The ability to spray very thin nanolayers of protective material across any width of glass with no dripping and no bounceback makes our ultrasonic spray technology ideal for high volume glass manufacturing. The recent advances in functional glass manufacturing, including touch screens, smart glass, and even photoresist coatings onto glass, have prompted Sono-Tek to continue to innovate with the industry. As a result, Sono-Tek’s new Impact ARRAY TCO system was developed to provide manufacturers with the ability to spray transparent conductive oxide chemistries onto glass panels in ultrasonic spray pyrolysis applications. The Impact ARRAY system uses proprietary materials of construction in order to spray corrosive acid solutions, often at high temperatures. This is a major breakthrough, offering a wet spray alternative to CVD and sputtering processes, which are costly and often have low transfer efficiencies (as low as 25%). Atmospheric spraying of ITO, AZO, ZnO, SnO, FtO and CdO chemistries results in double or more the transfer efficiency of sputtering, with a significantly less expensive investment in capital equipment for startup companies. R&D scale or production volume systems are available from Sono-Tek.
