Sono-Tek Announces Sale of New High Tech Ultrasonic Spray Coating Machinery in Advanced Food Manufacturing Process

Sono-Tek-food-prSono-Tek Corporation announces a recent order valued at $360,000, for a micronic thin film spray coating process to a major global food manufacturer with numerous plants based overseas.

The highly specialized application developed in this confidential project is a first of its kind, state-of-the-art technology, whose details are covered by an NDA with the customer. This customer has the potential of buying an additional system every 12-18 months as part of a planned multi-year roll out of the technology among all of its manufacturing sites.

This unique system incorporates ultrasonic atomization technology, which allows for high transfer efficiencies with precision uniform coatings. The equipment will be uniformly applying minute quantities of liquids over food products configured in a large area moving web. The advantages provided by this system are in its extremely accurate and repeatable coating quality, unmatched by any traditional pressure assisted spraying systems.
