We will be demonstrating our NEW! MediCoat DES3000 benchtop stent coating system, the ideal turnkey solution for the development of coating processes for arterial metal and bioabsorbable drug eluting stents with anti-restinosis polymers and other coatings. This upgraded system is suitable for lab/R&D, and meets many production requirements as well. All of the precision performance and reliability of Sono-Tek’s MediCoat DES1000 is combined with upgrades and enhanced capabilities in this new system, featuring:

  • Sono-Tek’s latest patented 180 kHz MicroMist ultrasonic nozzle for smaller droplet sizes down to ~13µm
  • Enhanced nozzle positioning and high precision alignment fixture providing excellent repeatability from stent to stent and from one machine to another
  • Precision Generator for finer control of atomization process
  • Data logging capability and multi-level security settings are now included in our recipe building storage software

All in the controlled, sealed environment of our benchtop glove box with integrated programmable stent rotation and translation. An alternate enclosure system (MediCoat DES4000) is available for coating processes that don’t require an exhausted glove box environment.
