Ultrasonic Atomizing Nozzles for Spray Drying

Ultrasonic nozzles are designed for easy retrofit into most lab scale spray dryers

Sono-Tek’s line of extended horn atomizing nozzles have been designed for easy retrofit into most lab sized spray drying systems.This new slim design can be configured to a customer’s specified length, allowing the atomizing tip to be placed at the optimal position within the spray dryer chamber.

• Non-clogging ultrasonic technology minimizes downtime
• Low velocity atomization assures minimal wet out on chamber walls, increasing yield and reducing waste
• Available in 25 kHz (70 micron drop diameter), 48kHz (38 micron drop diameter), 60kHz (31 micron drop diameter) and 120kHz (18 micron drop diameter) frequencies
• Titanium construction
• Ultrasonic atomization allows extremely small batch production (1 ml/hr flow rate)
• For use with organic or aqueous-based solutions/suspensions
• Dual liquid delivery option available (ideal for microencapsulation)
• Easy retrofit into most lab scale spray dryers
