Operating Principle
The Stent-View stent inspection system featuring advanced imaging and illumination technology provides superb image clarity and contrast. This state-of-the art user-friendly inspection system provides high quality when inspecting unpolished, polished, parylene coated, and drug coated stents.
The self-contained table-top system platform is fully integrated and ergonomically designed, providing easy operator access to all system controls.
Maximum inspection flexibility is achieved with the proprietary illumination system, providing optimized, high-resolution on any unpolished, polished, uncoated or coated stent. The system includes the capability to image the outer diameter, vertical walls, and the inner diameter as well. The motorized zoom optical system has a 12:1 zoom ratio. The zoom and focus axis controls are easily accessible on the system base plate.
Stents are supported by a lighting rod during the inspection process. Lighting rods are interchangeable and available in a variety of standard and custom sizes (diameters & lengths). The lighting rod provides even backlight illumination of the stent. This proprietary lighting system results in extremely consistent illumination on the outer diameter of the stent without hot-spots (glare) that enables surface, coating, and other stent defects to be easily detected.
The Stent-View system has the ability to capture high resolution utilizing an image capturing device. This feature makes it easy to compare stent coatings for quality control purposes. All are conveniently stored on a USB flash drive which is compatible with any USB enabled devices (PC’s, laptops, PDAs, etc.).
