MediSonic

MediSonic

The MediSonic™ system features a controlled vacuum ultrasonic spray deposition process, providing continuous films on implantable medical devices. Coating of these devices is intrinsically difficult because of their delicate structures and intricate design. The unique MediSonic™ design applies thin films that can range in thickness from angstroms to many microns. The process can be used to coat three-dimensional or two-dimensional devices with varying thickness and morphology. It is ideally suited for applying continuous, uninterrupted smooth finishes onto medical devices such as stents, pacemakers and other implantables, with no webbing, pin holes or voids.

The MediSonic™ System Features:

  • Controlled Vacuum Ultrasonic Nanodrop Spray Deposition Process *
  • Continuous Films on Even the Most Intricate Geometries (No Webbing)
  • Total Control of Injection Rate and Volume Through a Pulsed Liquid Delivery Method **
  • Unmatched Coating Uniformity
  • Unique Sono-Tek Ultrasonic Nozzle Designed for Vacuum Use
  • Computer Controlled Prcessing and Monitoring

* U.S. patent applied for by Sono-Tek Corporation.
* * Sono-Tek Corporation is the exclusive licensee of this method under an agreement with the Cornell Research Foundation, Inc., owners of the patent right for the liquid delivery technique used in this equipment.

The MediSonic™ is ideally suited for applying continuous, uninterrupted smooth finishes onto medical devices such as stents, pacemakers and other implantables, with no webbing, pin holes or voids.

Accumist

Accu-Mist for Stent Coating

The Accu-Mist™ system combines Sono-Tek's unique Microspray ultrasonic atomizing nozzle with low-pressure air to produce a soft, highly focused beam of small spray drops. Compressed air or gas, typically at 1 psi, is introduced into the diffusion chamber of the air shroud, which produces a uniformly distributed flow of air around the nozzle tip.

MicroMist

MicroMist for Stent Coating

The MicroMist system combines Sono-Tek's unique Microspray ultrasonic atomizing nozzle with low-pressure air to produce a soft, highly focused beam of small spray drops. The most advanced stent coating system in the industry.

MediCoat

MediCoat Stand-alone Stent Coater

The AccuMist™ ultrasonic nozzle has been integrated into the MediCoat stand-alone format complete with a programmable stent movement and rotation device, and an easily accessible spray area for manual loading and unloading of stents. This system is an ideal tool for the development of stent coating processes.
