Ultrasonic Nozzle Systems for Applying Pan Release Coatings
Precision thin film depanning coating systems for large scale baking processes
Sono-Tek ultrasonic nozzle systems are particularly well suited to spraying baking pans with pan release materials prior to baking. Soya, Canola and other blended vegetable oils are applied as thin, uniform coatings of micron-sized droplets with no overspray of the material, resulting in a dramatic reduction in cleanup and atmospheric contamination. Sono-Tek systems are proven reliable for continuous high volume operation with significant reduction in energy costs and minimal service requirements, increasing production yields. With thousands of ultrasonic nozzle systems installed worldwide, we are a world leader in ultrasonic coating solutions.
Sono-Tek's state-of-the-art laboratory facilities provide in-house laboratory testing utilizing the expertise of our engineering staff as a valuable resource in optimizing processes based on each material's atomization properties. We are committed to providing the best coating solution to our customers with technology designed to meet the specific needs of each manufacturing process and unsurpassed customer service.
Up to 80% reduction in material consumption compared with conventional spraying methods such as pressure spraying and spinning disc systems.

- Controllable drop size with many different operating frequencies
- Low flow volume makes coatings readily adhere to product surface
ULTRASONIC ATOMIZATION
Using high-frequency sound vibrations, ultrasonic nozzles create a soft spray without bounceback from the substrate, unlike pressure nozzles. When combined with low-pressure air (typically 1 psi), the atomized spray can be shaped in a variety of fan-shaped or conical spray patterns. The type of air shaping method used is dictated by the specific needs of each process. Capability to coat unlimited widths with multiple nozzle systems.
