Ultrasonic Coating System for Solar Cell Manufacturing
The FlexiCoat SC System is an inline programmable 3-axis small footprint platform designed for depositing active layer solutions, suspensions, and nanosuspensions in CIGS, CdTe and other thin film solar cell production.
Applications include but are not limited to:
- Thin film coatings
- CIGs
- Buffer layers
- Silver nanowires
- Quantum dots
Ideal for mid-level production volume, the FlexiCoat SC employs robust ball-screw slides driven by precision servo motors. Any Sono-Tek nozzle can be integrated. Spray patterns are easily shaped, ranging from 2 – 50 mm (0.08 – 2″) wide. Several integrated liquid delivery options are available, depending on the system configuration.
Ultrasonic nozzle benefits:
- Highly homogenous coatings resulting in greater cell efficiency
- Up to 80% reduction in material consumption
- Non-clogging design results in minimal servicing and downtime
- Precise, repeatable spray patterns that are easily shaped
- Highly controllable spray produces reliable, consistent results
- Corrosion-resistant titanium and stainless steel construction
- No moving parts to wear out
